Hishtil SA

Introduction

Hishtil an International company that specialises in the growing of seedlings and has nurseries all over the world, entered into a partnership
with ZZ2 one of the biggest farming operations in South Africa. The aim of the partnership is to set up high-tech nurseries to supply normal and grafted seedlings into the South African market.

Construction

Due to the complicated nature of the project and the time frames involved there were six different teams working together on site. The 1.5 hectare project was completed slightly late due to bad weather and shipping delays.

Greenhouse Specifications

It was decided to erect the new 9.6m closed Classic with extraction fans and in some sections of the nursey wetwalls (evaporative cooling). Thermal screens and other equipment was installed to ensure cool temperatures in this very hot part of South Africa.
