Description of Project:
Large established growers of flowers (mainly Chrysanthemums) expanded their operation on a new farm. The grower required medium range technology to grow export quality flowers. The structure had to accommodate a very heavy hanging heating system that was raised and lowered during the crop and therefore the structures had to be modified to handle 50kg/m² of static load. The structure also had blackout screens, overhead irrigation as well as a pad and fan system for cooling in summer. Fertigation and climate control unit was installed too.
