Description of Project:
Goldfields Mining House decided to establish a flower growing project at one of their
facilities in Carletonville. Vegtech was awarded the tender based on the specifications
set down by the client. The tender called for 10 hectares of pad & fan greenhouses
with an 8m span width, as well as a separate nursery for rose propagation. Growing
troughs with Coir medium were also to be supplied by Vegtech. Netafim supplied the
complete fertigation and climate control solution for the project. The whole project was
completed within six months of the awarding of the tender.
