Thermal Screens

Thermal screens are used to moderate day/night temperatures in greenhouses, tunnels and even net-houses.

They provide uniform shade and some control air movement and enhance the diffused light.

Thermal Screens protect against frost and save energy in heated structures.

There are two basic types of thermal screens.

  • Open screens which allows air flow through them and are usually used in structures that have roof vents that require upward movement of air and in shadehouses where rain needs to pass through the screen
  • Closed screens, sometimes known as energy saving screens, are totally closed and do not allow air movement through them. These screens are usually used in heated greenhouses where energy saving is the main objective.

Vegtech also supplies and installs blackout screens for crops that require daytime manipulation.

Vegtech’s screens are fully mechanised using the highest quality Dutch components.

Growers can choose what type of cloth they require according to their needs.

Vegtech supplies cloth from Polysack -Aluminet™, Svensson or Bonar TF
