Coir

Coir (or cocopeat as it is often called) is an excellent horticultural growing medium as it has a high water absorption and retention capability and is chemically neutral.

Coir is an organic material, and is environmentally friendly.

It is an excellent substrate for root development and therefore transplanting can be made directly into the coir with no need for any further treatment or agent.

Unlike other soilless culture, coco holds high air capacity even when completely saturated, and with time the coir develops a high buffer capacity that enables plants to overcome short-term deficiency of fertilizers and water.

Vegtech is a proud supplier of Pelemix coir products. Pelemix is the leading company in the coir – cocopeat substrate market for hydroponic growers and nurseries.
